 PARTS  OF  SPEECH OR  PARTS  OF  A  SENTENCE  OR  CLASSIFICATION OF WORDS Lesson 3  INTRODUCTION Learning a language means learning it's grammar.  In lesson no.   2 we have already  understood the sounds in english language which are formed when two letters or alphabets come together.  Now the next step is what happens when more than one or two sounds come together in a sequence ?  You are right ,  'words' ,  cluster of letters in particular pattern ,  are formed which generally have meaning.  eg.  a-n-d  together make a word ,'and', which is made of three sounds basically.  Now,  all these  words can be classified as following ;- 1.     Nouns  :-   These words are names of any thing, person , place, animal or any abstract feeling or                           ...

A warm welcome to my new blog as you know by now , 'Absolute English Learner's spot'.  Here we are set on a journey of exploring English across various parameters like words, sentences, tenses, speeches,  voices  ,  tags and many more...

As  we all know any language starts with basic units eg. in English these basic units are called 'Alphabets'. 



There are 26 alphabets in English : 21 consonants and 5 vowels :

A    B    C    D        E        F        G        H    I     J     K        L        M      N        O    P    Q    R        S        T        U        V    W   X    Y        Z

ALPHABETS IN RED ARE  CONSONANTS

ALPHABETS IN BLUE ARE  VOWELS

All these alphabets are in UPPER CASE or we can say are in 'capital'. 

Nor further  we will see the LOWER CASE set of alphabets :

  a        b        c        d        e        f        g   

   h        i         j         k        l        m     n  

    o        p        q        r        s         t      u 

       v      w        x        y        z   


These alphabets when they  came together , words were born which have specific meaning. These words in turn are the units of 'a sentence'. Sentences are also of various types depending upon the tone  for eg.  Questions, statements, replies, commands, orders, requests and so on..

Let's come back to words :-

When two letters or alphabets come together , two-letter words are formed :-

All the above smallest words have meaning and are used in sentences to complete the meaning.
